Major Craft’s Ayu Para is a rod designed for ayu lure fishing. It is engineered to read the river current and produce a stable lure action while setting the hook without bouncing off strikes from ayu entering their territory. The blank uses medium-modulus carbon as its main cross material, providing the torque needed to handle the current, while the tip features a solid tip that readily absorbs ayu strikes. It combines the ability to keep the lure near the riverbed with the supple response needed to follow the fish’s movements.

The AYP-B932ML/S is a 9-foot 3-inch, two-piece baitcasting model designed to take advantage of the controllability of baitcasting tackle, which makes it easy to feed out line. Its long solid top detects strikes, while the hard butt section helps bring fish in. The butt can also be used to make it easier to avoid snags. Rated for lures from 5 to 20 g, its length is suited to a wide range of conditions, from medium-sized to large rivers. It features Fuji K guide frames and Core Double Wrapping to reduce stress on the blank, along with a grip design shaped for comfortable handling and long fishing sessions. This model is suited to fishing ayu lures with the current and detecting strikes while feeding out line.
