Lucky Craft Bevy Shad

Lucky Craft’s Bevy Shad is a small shad designed to introduce a cast-and-retrieve approach to tough conditions where light-rig worm fishing had been the primary technique. Its body is designed to imitate small baitfish, with buoyancy options including floating and suspending models. While it is primarily fished with a steady retrieve, it can also be paused after occasional jerks or twitches.

The floating model uses its buoyancy for a stop-and-go retrieve, making it easy to work around cover while adding subtle rod movements to avoid obstacles. The suspending model is intended to be worked with twitches followed by pauses; in cold water, longer pauses can be used to test for a response. The Bevy Shad 60SP is 60 mm long, weighs 4.8 g, and is a suspending model with a diving depth of 1.5 m. It is fitted with size #10 hooks front and rear. The series also includes 50 mm, 60 mm, and 75 mm classes, along with models featuring different buoyancy and specifications, allowing anglers to choose between them and floating models such as the Bevy Shad 60FC Rise Up. Because the buoyancy of suspending models changes depending on water temperature and line density, adjust the belly-hook split ring and line as needed to match the target depth and pause posture.
