Megabass X-80Jr

Megabass’s X-80Jr. was developed to carry over the action of the original X-80 in a smaller body, creating a lightweight minnow with a highly noticeable action. On a straight retrieve, it combines wobbling and rolling with an irregular action that causes it to deviate from its path. Even without adding jerks or twitches, the stop-and-go retrieve alone produces a varied action.

During twitches, the lure makes a sharp sideways dart while dramatically flashing its body, creating a fleeing action accompanied by flashes. It features a pair of internal moving-balancer weights that stabilize its posture in flight, making this 65mm small minnow easy to cast long distances. In addition to retrieve-focused use for producing a consistent action, it also accommodates presentations combining stop-and-go retrieves with twitches. Measuring 65mm in length and weighing 1/4 oz., it is a suspending model equipped with two No. 8 hooks. Despite its compact body, this minnow can be used for a wide range of presentations, from a simple retrieve to rod-work techniques.
