Megabass BABY POPX is a popper designed to efficiently cover a wide area at a fast pace with its ultra-compact body, based on Yuki Ito’s private model developed for the POPX. Its micro profile provides a quiet landing sound and long-distance castability, allowing for a low-profile presentation even after casting long distances.
The unique cup-shaped face displaces water to produce a crisp splash sound. The line tie positioned at the center influences the lure’s posture and controllability on the surface, responding sensitively to subtle rod work. In addition to combining short slides with a slight head shake and a tight, persistent dog-walk action, the lure can create a lifelike splash over pinpoint targets with minimal rod movement. The basic technique is to work the lure with rod movements that add a head shake or splash while keeping its travel distance to a minimum. It comes equipped with a size #8 front hook and a size #10 teaser hook at the rear.
