Heddon’s Super Spook Jr. is a topwater pencil bait that combines the tough construction and appearance of the full-size Super Spook in a more compact body. Although its smaller design makes it easy to match the size of the baitfish, it was developed to deliver a strong presence on the surface.
Model X9236 measures 3 1/2 inches in length, weighs 1/2 ounce, and is equipped with #4 hooks. It features sturdy hardware from the line tie to the hooks, providing a setup well suited to handling hard strikes and powerful runs. The slender body produces the characteristic Super Spook–style walk-the-dog action, swinging its head from side to side across the surface. During the retrieve, imparting small rod movements while alternately creating line slack allows the lure to glide left and right. It can be worked continuously at a steady cadence, or used with pauses that let it float on the surface before resuming the action.
