Bait Breath Bys Craw

Bait Breath’s BYS CRAW is a craw-style soft lure developed by Morizo Shimizu and Bait Breath to reproduce the lifelike presence of a crayfish through its three-dimensional component design and material construction. Animal hair that imitates a crayfish’s legs and antennae is set into the body, combining the water displacement of soft plastic with the unique vibration produced by natural materials. The hair also functions as a balancer to stabilize the lure’s posture underwater.

The slightly pinched body features ribs on the underside, creating a structure that easily holds air and produces irregular reflections underwater. The thick, flattened claws catch even weak currents and move naturally, while the thin inner sections generate subtle vibrations. The body’s vibration, the claws’ powerful torque-driven action, and the delicate movement of the longer-designed antennae intertwine to create a tight vibration during swimming and a natural quiver when the lure is held stationary. The claws rise when the lure settles on the bottom after the fall, allowing it to assume a posture reminiscent of a threatening crayfish.

The lure is infused with the “BYS MIX” flavor, blended with natural ingredients derived from fish, crustaceans, and other sources, and also contains salt. It is primarily suited to Texas rigs and as a trailer for rubber jigs, while also working well with Carolina rigs, weightless rigs, Neko rigs, and other setups. Available sizes include 2.5, 3.5, 4.5, and 5.5 inches, allowing anglers to choose according to the desired volume and fall action.
