HAYABUSA’s FINESSE WACKY II is a hook for wacky rigs, developed under the direction of Daisuke Aoki and designed with a focus on excellent initial penetration and a shape that drives deep into a bass’s mouth. This ultra-light-tackle-compatible model is designed for sharp, easy hooksets even on short bites, making it easier to catch light, shallow bites.
Featuring a wide gap with ample bite clearance and a long penetration point, it uses fine-wire construction to maximize penetration. The crank shape incorporated into the bend helps prevent the worm slippage and hook bending commonly associated with wide-gap hooks. It is easy to use for weightless wacky rigs and neko rigs, rigged near the center of a straight worm. With a weightless wacky rig, it is suited primarily to free-fall presentations, while with a neko rig, it handles bottom shaking and dragging techniques. This model is ideal for setups that prioritize hook-setting performance during sight fishing and in situations where short bites are common.
