HMKL’s HMKL FRY 30 is a micro minnow featuring an exceptionally small silhouette that imitates a juvenile baitfish. In addition to standard casting, it can also be used for shooting and hover-strolling. Designed for situations when fish are focused on small bait, it has a sinking configuration that combines a 3.0 cm body with a 1.2 g weight.
Tinsel is fitted at the rear of the body, and no soft-plastic material is used in either the body or the tail. During the fall, it spirals downward, while pausing allows it to maintain a horizontal posture. Despite its small size, it can be used not only with a steady retrieve, but also with presentations that incorporate a fall and pauses at a targeted depth. If the tail tinsel is uneven or bent when purchased, gently stroke it with your fingers to straighten it before use.
Basic techniques include retrieving it with standard casting, shooting the lure while watching a fish finder, and hover-strolling. Its use with a Carolina rig has also been confirmed. In addition to delicate control made possible by its extremely small size, its movement during the fall and horizontal posture make it easy to create a pause that triggers a bite.
