HMKL i-bull — Features & specifications
HMKL’s i-BULL 45 is a hard bait developed under the supervision of Keiichi Nagai. It combines a small-profile minnow body with a shad tail to produce a baitfish-like action. Measuring 4.5 cm plus the tail and weighing 2.9 g, it features a slow-sinking design suited to presentations from just below the surface through the mid-water column.
During the retrieve, the body’s high-pitch rolling creates a vibrating action complemented by the movement of the shad tail. Its basic technique is a straight retrieve, and it can be used at any retrieve speed. It comes equipped with a single standard hook on the belly, while the rear features a free eyelet that allows for appeal tuning with an assist hook or blade depending on the conditions. The lightweight body is also suitable for bait finesse, and when used with a Steez AIR, its design is considered easy to handle for repeated casts targeting the bank. Due to its small, lightweight profile, it is also intended for use with a Carolina rig.
