The HMKL K-0 POPPER is a front-splash-focused popper developed following an encounter with Zel Roland. It is mass-produced while inheriting both the splash performance sought by Mr. Roland, which sends numerous droplets of water forward, and the performance of the original POP-R Izumi version, enhanced through tuning.
It features a deep cup and a sharp-edged mouth, and is designed to maintain a horizontal position when stationary. This produces a high-rising front splash directed forward when worked with the rod, along with a popping sound that responds with minimal delay to rod movements. The mouth shape is modeled after the original POP-R, making it easy to create the large, fine spray considered important in a popper without adding complex actions. It is best used by allowing the lure to rest after casting, confirming its horizontal posture, and then working it lightly to draw out the splash and popping sound. It measures 5.8 cm in length, weighs 6.0 g, and is fitted with VANFOOK treble hooks.
