VARIVAS Maji Neko Hook is a worm hook designed for easy handling and reliable hook-setting performance with snagless neko rigs. It features an oval eye that holds the knot inside the eye, making it easier to move the hook and worm into the intended position. The hook also accommodates a stopper inserted inside the worm, helping reduce worm slippage and pull-off during casting and lure manipulation.
The gap from the hook point to the bend is designed to be slightly wide, making it easier to thread the worm deeply onto the hook. The extended throat makes it easier to insert the hook point into the worm and facilitates rigging. Sizes 1.5 and 2 feature a long-shank design suited to larger, more voluminous worms. The hook is finished with VARIVAS’s Zero Friction Coat, a special fluorine-based coating that allows the hook point to penetrate smoothly. Set the hook in the worm, adjust its position using the stopper around the eye and inside the worm, and use this model as a snagless neko rig.
