Varivas Namazu Premium PE

VARIVAS Namazu Premium PE X8 is an eight-strand PE line designed with low stretch and high sensitivity to help convert the limited bites encountered in catfish fishing into solid hooksets. In addition to the high strength needed for working around reeds and cover, it has a moderate weight that allows anglers to present lures on the surface while keeping the line slack. Its moderate stiffness helps reduce tangles and improves ease of handling. It is also suitable for pairing with glass rods, which prioritize a deeper load and better bite absorption, and features a white line color for easy visibility even in low-light conditions.

The surface is treated with VARIVAS’s original non-fluorine coating, “SP-V.” This protective film helps suppress deterioration caused by water absorption while improving abrasion resistance and castability. The line is also well suited to casting noisy-style plugs with high air resistance. The different line weights of the No. 4, No. 5, and No. 6 sizes allow anglers to select their preferred amount of line slack. By keeping the rod held relatively high while retrieving, the line can be kept moderately slack in the air, allowing that slack to act as a cushion when a bite occurs. During use, the design concept recommends connecting a stiff shock leader to prevent the PE line from tangling with the cup or hooks of catfish lures.
