Hideup Stagger

HIDEUP’s Stagger Original is a shad-tail soft lure developed as the “original snagless swimbait,” making it easy to fish around cover and vegetation. During the retrieve, it produces a slow, low-pitch rolling action with a subdued presence. In addition to the tail’s vibration, the entire body rolls as well, creating a distinctive, torque-filled swimming action even on a steady retrieve at a constant speed. One of its defining features is that the low-pitch rolling action was selected after high-pitch action had also been tested during development.

Available sizes include 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4, and 5 inches. The 1.5- to 2.5-inch sizes are suited to presentations that imitate small baitfish, while the 3-inch model serves as a standard size compatible with a wide range of rigs, including weightless, Texas, Carolina, jighead, and drop-shot rigs, as well as use as a rubber jig trailer. The 4-inch model is easy to use as a jig trailer, for swimming presentations, and for bottom-bouncing, while the 5-inch model is intended for situations where 4 inches is too small and 6 inches is too large. With a weightless rig, it can be retrieved on or just below the surface; in deeper water, a Texas rig is the basic choice, while a jighead rig is suitable for open water. When using a jighead, one recommended method is to attach two worm keepers to help prevent the lure from slipping out of position. Because hook size affects the action, select a hook that matches the worm size.
