Hideup HU-200

HIDEUP’s HU-200 is a floating crankbait designed for the “Riser Technique,” which entices fish not only with a steady retrieve but also with its action as it rises. Its buoyancy is calculated primarily around the body shape, creating an irregular movement as the lure rises when the retrieve is paused. The buoyancy is set relatively high with structure avoidance in mind, allowing anglers to pause the lure around cover and let it float upward.

The body is designed with an emphasis on casting distance for use in strong winds and rough conditions. Despite featuring a moving-weight system, it has a silent design that minimizes the impact sound produced when the weight shifts. It measures 94 mm in overall length, with a body-only length of 58 mm, weighs approximately 15.4 g, and is a floating type with a diving depth of 2 m. The standard hooks are #6 front and rear. While it can be used with a basic steady retrieve, its rising action can be effectively utilized by pausing the retrieve after contacting cover or at any desired position, then enticing fish as the lure rises. The recommended line is 12–16 lb fluorocarbon. Use heavier line for a slower rise and lighter line for a faster rise.
