Berkley’s Finisher is a hard bait designed to deliver the lure to a targeted position and allow precise manipulation in response to fish identified with forward-facing sonar. It supports a range of presentations, including the gliding action of a glide bait, the darting action of a sinking jerkbait, and suspending midwater. Its ability to search the water column three-dimensionally with both casting and vertical presentations is a key feature. It is available in multiple sizes, including the Finisher 5.
The arched body features a finless, double-treble-hook design, a flat belly, and a forward-weighted configuration, making it easy to maintain its posture underwater during manipulation and create a “hanging” pause. On the fall, it produces a meandering swimming action and body shimmy, while pausing and returning to center generates a minnow-like tail swing. The line eye is vertically positioned to help keep the knot in a consistent location, and the lure is equipped with two Fusion 19 treble hooks. Light rod work produces a moderate glide, while longer, more forceful strokes draw out a wide, darting glide.
