Berkley’s Money Badger 5 is a compact, mid-depth crankbait that combines the action of a balsa crankbait with the durability of an ABS body. It features a hybrid design reminiscent of baitfish and crawfish, with a Flash Disc™ built into the underside of the body. Its low center of gravity improves tracking stability and casting accuracy, while the slightly slender body produces a balsa-like action. During the retrieve, it generates strong vibration with side-to-side roll and a rattling sound to attract fish, performing effectively from slow to fast retrieves.
The Money Badger 5 weighs 1/4 oz (7 g), measures 2.1 inches (55 mm) in length excluding the lip, and dives to 8–10 ft. Unlike the larger sizes, it does not feature a weight-transfer system, instead using a consistently compact body to target the mid-water column. In addition to being retrieved along structure or the bottom, it slowly rises when paused, allowing anglers to stop it temporarily around cover rather than simply continuing the retrieve. It is equipped with Fusion19™ treble hooks.
