Berkeley Jago Rocket

Berkley’s Jago Rocket 3-inch was developed with a weight that makes it easy to handle on baitcasting tackle, for situations where sinking insect lures designed for finesse tackle are difficult to use. Weighing 13.5 g, it is primarily designed for weightless rigs with 16–20 lb line, making it suitable for sight fishing, working around cover, and fall fishing at any depth.

To suppress the backslide caused by its rearward center of gravity and promote a horizontal fall, the rear of the body features three tails that act as stabilizers. The legs, each angled at its joint, catch water to create a strong vibrating action, while the three tails move with a fine, irregular rhythm. The material is designed with a salt-free upper section and a salt-infused lower section, balancing a stable falling posture with excellent hook retention. A damper is built into the chin section to increase hook-holding strength, while a slit on the back allows the hook point to be concealed. A 4/0 wide-gap hook is the standard choice, while a 5/0 narrow-gap hook can also be used when fish have weak suction. It can also be used with rigs other than weightless setups.
