Berkley’s DEX CR52SSR/R is a shallow-diving crankbait designed to efficiently search shallow water. Featuring a compact body measuring 52 mm and weighing 8 g, it covers depths of approximately 30–90 cm. This model was redesigned based on the CR55SR, making it well suited for quickly checking shallow areas and around cover.
The semi-coffin lip helps it deflect off cover and structure while minimizing unnecessary ricochets on contact, making it easier to navigate around obstacles. It is also less prone to excessive bottom contact, allowing for a tight presentation along the edges of cover. The CR52SSR/R features an internal rattle and is suited to the basic technique of maintaining a steady retrieve, as well as contacting obstacles and using its buoyancy to float over them.
