Berkeley Bubble Spear

Berkley’s 2.2-inch Bubble Spear is a finesse rubber jig trailer developed as the first model in the Bubble Series. Its two horizontally positioned arms and two large tails at the rear of the body move in unison, with the tails pushing water and creating vibrations during the retrieve. In addition, the ribs molded into the body trap air underwater and release it when the bait is moved. Along with the movement of the arms and tails, the air released from the ribs helps create a strong presence in the water.

Hook slots are provided along both the top and bottom of the body for easy hook rigging. It is well suited for use as a finesse rubber jig trailer and is also compatible with rigs such as drop shots, light Texas rigs, and light Carolina rigs. When used on a finesse rubber jig, the movement of the arms and tails can be taken advantage of, while with a drop shot or other light rig, each part can be activated with the bait’s movement or shaking action. In addition to being easy to set up as a trailer, this compact 2.2-inch model allows the hook slots on the top and bottom of the body to be selected according to the rig being used.
