Berkley’s Gulp! ALIVE! Bulky Hawg is a soft lure designed for probing areas around the bottom, featuring a compact yet thick Bulky Hawg profile that creates a substantial silhouette. The 3-inch model has a solid presence despite its small hawg-style silhouette, making it a convenient size for targeting cover and changes in bottom structure.

Use it while soaked in the attractant that characterizes the Gulp! ALIVE! series, and after use, return it to the container to absorb the formula again for “recharging.” It is primarily suited to Texas rigs, using a sinker to contact the bottom and moving the hawg profile with techniques such as lifting and dropping or bottom bumping. It also responds well to pauses after reaching the bottom and subtle rod movements. The standard setup uses an offset hook matched to the body thickness, with the hook point returned into the body. The ALIVE! Bulky Hawg is available in 2-inch and 3-inch sizes; the 3-inch model maintains a small hawg-style silhouette while offering greater appeal with its thicker body.
