NORIES HIRA TOP is a jointed big-bait-style topwater plug designed to repeatedly perform smooth turns with limited forward travel while continuously working against water pressure and generating natural feeding-like sounds. Its deep water-displacing carving action and sound design, which minimizes artificial contact noise, make it suited to presentations that keep the lure visible on the surface and entice fish for extended periods.

The joint section features sound stoppers that reduce contact noise between the body sections, along with solid carbon shafts that produce less sound than metal components. The tail is a semi-free-moving hard elastomer tail that firmly pushes water to create movement resembling that of a three-jointed lure, while also helping reduce unnecessary artificial noise. Designed primarily for repeated turns on the surface, this model is intended for moving water within a limited area to draw fish up. The 140F measures 137 mm and weighs 34 g, while the 170F measures 170 mm and weighs 68 g. The 170F retains the action of the 140F while using its increased volume to generate stronger water displacement and call fish from deeper water and a wider area. According to the manufacturer’s parts list, the 140F is equipped with #3 hooks at the front and rear, while the 170F uses RYUGI Pierce Treble #1 hooks at the front and rear. The elastomer tail and sound stoppers are prone to developing kinks, so avoid storing them bent, in high temperatures, or together with other lures.
