Nories Sankaku T-SAN

NORIES’ 5-inch SANKAKU T-SAN is a soft bait developed specifically for heavy-weight neko rigs using an offset hook and a heavy nail sinker. With the offset hook and nail sinker each working like a “backbone” to support the body, it produces a unique action when shaken in place while snagged in cover, causing the tail, nail-sinker insertion point, and hook-set point to move in different directions.

The protrusions on the tail grab the water and generate strong vibrations when shaken. For maximum appeal, use the bait in its standard configuration. For a more subtle presentation, or when working it with a swimming-style retrieve like a conventional neko rig, cut off the protrusions to tune the bait for a more lifelike action. During a straight retrieve, the entire body vibrates, creating a different water disturbance even when rigged similarly to a standard straight worm.

For shaking in place around cover, the manufacturer-recommended setup is a #1/0 offset hook combined with a 3.5 g nail sinker. This setup takes advantage of the head’s tendency to sink under the weight and the tail’s tendency to rise due to water resistance, making it suitable for working the bait deep into cover. It can be used not only with bait finesse tackle, but also for power finesse with PE line on spinning tackle. 5 inches, 130 mm.
