Deps Wiggle Bug

Deps’ WIGGLEBUG is a sinking insect-style soft bait designed with a size reminiscent of aquatic insects and shrimp, making it less likely to appear unnatural even in highly selective conditions. Its body is made from a high-density material with a 30% salt content and added crustacean ingredients. Despite its compact 1.2-inch, 2 g body, it offers long-casting performance and castability, making it easy to send to targeted spots. Its ultra-soft material, enhanced for greater tensile strength, also helps improve hook retention.

The distinctive arms quiver subtly during the fall under the bait’s own weight, sending small vibrations in all directions. When fished weightless, the WIGGLEBUG can attract fish on the fall by taking advantage of the arms’ movement, while the arms also sway and create appeal when the bait is dragged horizontally. The body features a molded shape reminiscent of an insect’s exoskeleton, designed to allow the point of an offset hook to be tucked into the molded recess. This setup is intended to improve snag resistance when fishing around cover, such as deep beneath overhanging cover or through brush.

The basic rigging options are weightless, free rig, and drop shot, but it can also be used on a Carolina rig or as a jig trailer. Recommended offset hook sizes are #3–4. When a slower fall is desired in open water, the bait is also designed for use with a trout hook.
