Deps’ MS GRUB is a multi-purpose grub designed for a wide range of techniques, from swimming and bottom bumping to dead-sticking. Its highly responsive tail reacts to even the slightest movement in the water, while skeleton-like ribs surrounding the tail’s end give it added stiffness and generate a powerful, high-torque action that pushes plenty of water. Even when left stationary, the tail flutters with the current, making it effective for presentations that do not require constant movement.
The inverted-triangular body acts like a boat hull keel, producing a stable swimming action. Its voluminous 4-inch, 9.4 g design is easy to cast with either baitcasting or spinning tackle, making it well suited to approaches that take advantage of long casts. It can be rigged Texas style, on a drop-shot, weightless, or as a trailer, allowing you to vary your presentation with retrieves, falls, and bottom work. The material contains 20% salt, and the recommended hook size is #4/0–5/0.
