Deps Bullflat

Deps’ BULLFLAT is a soft bait developed to target fish that see through monotonous falling actions. Its flattened body profile, designed to imitate a bluegill, produces a distinctive spiral action as it falls. The segmented tail catches even slight currents, creating a twitchy, lifelike movement with a weightless rig or at short range. The arms on both sides of the body also generate subtle vibrations, giving the bait the presence of a swimming bluegill. By allowing the flattened body to catch water resistance, the bait displays a distinctive spiral fall after splashdown when used on a Texas rig or as a jig trailer. Around weeds and complex structure, its design makes it easy to work the soft bait into the interior. The standard model is made from an ultra-soft material containing 20% salt and crustacean ingredients favored by predatory fish, while also taking hook retention into consideration (the 2-inch model contains 10% salt). Non-salt models with 0% salt content are also available in 3- to 5.8-inch sizes, making them suitable for free-moving worm rigs such as free rigs, free Texas rigs, and Carolina rigs, as well as for use in clear water. Recommended hooks by size are: 5.8-inch—offset #7/0; 4.8-inch—#5/0; 3.8-inch—#4/0; 3-inch—#1 to #2/0; and 2-inch—offset #4 to #6 or trout hook #1 to #3.
