KATSUICHI’s DECOY Slide Weight DS-12 is a sinker that allows you to tune your preferred hook into a weighted hook after the fact. It uses the included Versatile Keeper to secure the sinker, allowing you to adjust the weight’s position according to the type of hook and mounting location. Since the center of gravity can be changed by sliding the sinker back and forth, its design makes it easy to set the fall posture and speed, as well as the balance during swimming.
The weight is made from high-specific-gravity lead and is designed so that the opening can be reshaped for installation if the hook is difficult to pass through. The lineup includes 1.8g, 2.5g, 3.5g, and 5g sizes, with the included keeper sizes matched to each weight. In addition to threading the sinker onto an offset hook or similar hook and securing it between keepers from the front and rear, the separately sold Versatile Keeper allows for weight changes and switching to hooks of different sizes. A blade can be attached to the lower eye via a swivel or split ring, allowing it to be used as a blade rig as well.
