DECOY’s Makisasu Blade Worm230 is a weighted hook designed to combine the fish-catching appeal of a soft plastic with the attraction of a blade. It is built around the WORM30, which features the “Makisasu Keeper” for secure, easy-to-align soft plastic rigging, combined with the removable “SLIDE WEIGHT” sinker and a blade.
The blade attracts fish with the vibration and flash generated by its rotation, while the sinker can be moved forward and backward. Adjusting its position allows you to fine-tune the weight balance and blade position, making it easy to adapt to changes in the soft plastic’s action, running depth, and retrieve resistance. Rigging the hook point flush with the soft plastic helps maintain snag resistance and allows the rig to be used with a steady retrieve that takes advantage of the blade’s action. As a basic setup, rig the soft plastic straight along the Makisasu Keeper so that the body does not bend.
Worm230G features a gold blade. The weights are set at 1.8 g for #2 and #1, 2.5 g for #1/0 and #2/0, 3.5 g for #3/0 and #4/0, and 5 g for #5/0. Because the sinker’s adjustable position may shift due to impacts during casting and other situations, adding a Versatile Keeper as needed can help reduce movement.
