DECOY Rubber Threader DT-1 is a threading tool designed to assist with setting rubber and line when threading rubber skirts through soft plastics for a bug-style modification. The tip inserted into the soft plastic uses ultra-fine wire that helps minimize enlargement of the puncture hole, while the wire section is reinforced with a stainless-steel tube. Its fine tip and easy-to-hold shape make it convenient for threading rubber through soft plastics.
To use it, insert the threader into the soft plastic, hook a rubber skirt onto the tip, and pull the threader back out to thread the rubber through. In addition to rubber tuning, it can also be used to thread line through jighead eyes and rod guides, as well as to set small-hole rubber parts and slip sinkers. Threading too many strands of rubber at once may cause the rubber to break or the threader to be damaged by resistance when pulling it out, so it is designed to handle approximately three strands at a time as a guideline.
