KATSUICHI’s DECOY TX-DAN Sinker is designed for the “Tekidan” (Texas Down Shot), a rig that combines the advantages of a Texas rig and a drop-shot rig. The eye features a guide component that protects the line as it passes through the sinker. When the sinker is allowed to slide freely along the line, the worm presents a natural appeal as it falls, while reducing the unnatural sensation caused by the sinker when a fish bites, making it easier for the fish to commit.
The body features a hexagonal shape designed to provide high sensitivity, castability, and snag resistance. Made from a highly sensitive hard material, it has a gun-black finish that blends easily with the worm’s color and minimizes the sinker’s presence when rigged. In a free-sliding setup, the sinker and worm are allowed to move independently, while securing the sinker with a sinker stopper allows it to be used in a fixed rig as well. The guide component at the eye helps prevent line damage and also accommodates rigs that do not use a bead. The DS-9 is available in weights from 3.5 to 14 g, while the heavy-duty DS-9H is available from 18 to 45 g, allowing you to choose according to the rig and weight required.
