Decoy Jig Head

KATSUICHI’s DECOY JIGHEADS are a series of jig heads designed according to the characteristics of the soft bait, the intended presentation, and the type of fishing field. The Magic Head VJ-76 features the “Magic Keeper” barb keeper, which helps prevent the soft bait from slipping while preserving the profile even with slim soft baits. By eliminating weight from the keeper section and concentrating the center of gravity in the head, it is easier to produce a bottom presentation that mimics a small fish pecking at bait, and it also supports mid-strolling with a shake retrieve. The round-bend fine-wire hook also makes rigging the soft bait easy.

The Plus Guard-S VJ-77 features a monofilament guard that helps prevent the hook from snagging, making it suitable for use around structure and overhanging cover. The guard is tuned with enough flexibility to make setting the hook easier even when using light spinning tackle, and it is also suitable for making custom small rubber jigs and for bait finesse applications. The EGG Two-One VJ-73 is designed for reaction bites produced by bulky soft baits and a heavy football-style head, and uses an upturned jig hook for quick hook penetration. The two-stage keeper, weight balance, and eye position help hold the soft bait securely, reducing the likelihood of fish coming unbuttoned due to the head swinging from side to side—a common issue with heavy jig heads—while also helping avoid snags.
