Tiemco Crankie Darter

TIEMCO’s Crankie Darter was introduced in 1988 as TIEMCO’s first original lure. This crankbait was developed around the concept of triggering bites by making it flash and deflect along the bottom. Today, it can also be used with a slow retrieve from the surface to the mid-water column, enticing fish with the unique action created by the shimmer of its metal lip and its body shape.

The Crankie Darter 90 and 100 share the same body and are used for different applications based on their lip designs. The 90 produces a combination of roll and wobble, making it suited to targeting the surface to just below the waterline. The 100 has a slightly stronger wobble than the 90 and dives quickly, allowing anglers to search from just below the surface to the mid-range. Both models reach a maximum depth of approximately 3 m and feature super duralumin lips. The basic retrieve is a slow, steady retrieve, and both models are floating types. The standard hook setup uses size #3 split rings on both the front and rear, with ST36BC #4 treble hooks.

The 50R features a redesigned, rounded crankbait-style body that enhances its ability to avoid cover and obstacles. Its redesigned lip shape and angle also provide a more stable flight attitude during casting, while its dead-slow retrieve action targets the surface to just below the waterline. The 200A features an enlarged body and a metal lip equipped with two ultra-thin, compact blades. It produces a complex shimmer and can be retrieved slowly to depths of up to 3.5 m. Its large lip enhances obstacle avoidance, making it possible to search around cover.
