Tiemco Hecate

TIEMCO’s Hecate is a floating lure that pursues lifelike action through its multi-jointed body and silicone rubber, while taking advantage of the stable buoyancy and casting distance of a hard lure. The five-jointed body moves in coordination at each joint, producing a sinuous action when twitched, a soft, subtle sway when dead-sticked, and an action reminiscent of fleeing baitfish on a fast retrieve. When stopping the retrieve and allowing the lure to rise, fishing it with a straight retrieve, or letting it drift in the wind, the rubber skirt catches even slight water currents and wind, creating delicate vibrations and movement even while the lure is stationary.

The Hecate 6 measures 60 mm and weighs 3 g, while the Hecate 7 measures 70 mm and weighs approximately 4 g. They can be selected according to the size of the baitfish being targeted and the desired handling characteristics. Recommended tackle includes a 6-foot 2-inch to approximately 7-foot 2-inch L to ML-action rod, 4–5 lb line, or PE line in approximately 0.3–0.6号. When using PE line, the recommended setup is to connect approximately 1 m of 4–5 lb fluorocarbon leader. The standard hooks are ST26TN #12 for the Hecate 6 and ST26TN #10 for the Hecate 7.
