TIEMCO’s Glimmer 7 Light is tuned for targeting areas closer to the surface with mid-strolling while retaining the characteristics of the Glimmer 7. Whereas the original Glimmer 7 is designed for the mid-range at approximately 1–3 m, the Glimmer 7 Light is set up to make it easier to cover depths from 10 cm below the surface down to 1.5 m. Its slower sinking speed makes it suitable for situations where fish are more likely to respond just beneath the surface, as well as when precise lure control is required.
Its distinctive rolling action is created through rod manipulation, and it is designed to entice fish with mid-strolling while taking advantage of the presence unique to a hard plug. This 70 mm, 5 g slow-sinking lure is suited to retrieves that maintain a specific depth, as well as mid-water presentations with added rod work. The recommended setup is a 6'2"–7'0" UL to L-action spinning rod paired with 4–6 lb line, or approximately 0.4–0.8 PE line with a 4–5 lb fluorocarbon leader. It features a W Hook TC Coat #8 on the front and a Piast Treble Dagger #10 on the rear, while the front hook is secured using a patented mechanism owned by Tackle House.
