Tiemco Red Pepper

TIEMCO’s Red Pepper is the original model in the series, developed around its “small baitfish escape action,” which recreates the surface movement of baitfish fleeing from pursuit. It produces an unpredictable, irregular action, darting rapidly from side to side across the surface while occasionally diving for an instant before springing back up. Rather than simply walking the dog, it combines diving, leaping, and rolling movements to create variations reminiscent of a small baitfish frantically trying to escape.

The Red Pepper is designed to make this small baitfish escape action relatively easy to produce, while also offering reliable performance and good casting distance. Its 110 mm body features a floating design. Primarily worked on the surface, it combines side-to-side darting with changes in diving and rising movements created through the retrieve and rod action. In addition to a steady retrieve, adding variations in movement and brief pauses makes it easier to take advantage of its unpredictable action. Color numbers in the 700 range feature an internal reflective plate.
