DAIWA’s STEEZ CRANPO is a topwater lure supervised by Shunsuke Miyajima, combining a jointed body design with a popper-style shape. By giving the rear body a popper shape, it creates strong water displacement while minimizing forward travel, and also supports presentations incorporating popping sounds and splashes.

The jointed body excels at a walking action, producing 180-degree turns with continuous twitches. The water-shedding circuit-board lip supports quick, nimble turns, while the rear hook feather moves seductively during a steady retrieve, providing visual appeal. The intended presentation is to start with a walking action that minimizes forward travel, then combine varying twitch intensity and pauses to entice fish at the surface. A swivel is used at the front hook eye, creating a structure that makes it easier for the lure to follow the fish’s movements. The standard hooks are SAKUSAS treble hooks, with a feathered hook fitted at the rear. The 63F is a 63 mm, 3.6 g floating model equipped with treble hooks in size #10; the 81F is 81 mm, 7.9 g with size #8 treble hooks; and the 92F is 92 mm, 10.7 g with size #6 treble hooks.
