Daiwa Kikker Walker

DAIWA’s KIKKER WALKER is an elastomer soft lure developed under the supervision of Kyosuke Umeda as a floating frog designed for use with an offset hook. It supports everything from a standard dog walk to a high-speed dog walk, allowing not only frog-inspired presentations but also techniques designed to imitate shrimp and baitfish.

The long rubber skirt acts as a brake during the retrieve, making it easier to work the lure with minimal forward movement. Its rear-weighted body, with the center of gravity positioned toward the back half, is designed to provide long-casting performance and skipping ability deep into cover. An assist marker is positioned slightly below the tip of the head as a guide for hook placement; inserting the hook from this point helps produce a stable action. The standard model is compatible with an offset hook equivalent to a WOS #1/0, while the KIKKER WALKER BIG is a larger, heavier model designed for use with a wide-gap offset hook equivalent to a WOS #5/0. The elastomer material may melt when stored with conventional soft-plastic lures, so it must be stored in a separate container.
