DAIWA’s SWIFT CRANK 250 is a deep-diving crankbait developed to efficiently search a wide area at a brisk pace by combining the natural action of a shad with the appeal of a crankbait. It features a shad-like silhouette with a narrowed body that reduces buoyancy while maintaining the lure’s body size. Despite its restrained, roll-dominant action, movement is easily transmitted to the angler’s hand, making it suitable for retrieving at a consistent depth through the mid-water column as well as for bottom-contact fishing.
During the cast, the main weight shifts toward the rear of the body via a magnetic weight-transfer system, stabilizing the lure’s flight. During the retrieve, the weight is held in place by the magnet to produce a stable action. The lip features a center-bone design, with a thicker center section and thinner sides, balancing the strength required for bottom contact with a high action pitch. In addition to cranking while contacting the bottom, the lure can quickly change its response through rod manipulation such as twitches and jerks. It is a 70 mm, 12.9 g floating model with a diving depth of approximately 2.5 m and standard-equipped SAKUSAS-finished treble hooks in size #5.
