Daiwa Frog Dura Sensor

Daiwa’s UVF Frog Dura Sensor ×8 + Si2 is an eight-strand PE line designed for bass fishing with frogs, with a focus on balancing strength, sensitivity, and abrasion resistance. Developed under the supervision of Yukiya Uchiyama, it combines TOUGH PE with NEW EvoSilicone2 to achieve over 300% greater abrasion resistance than the manufacturer’s conventional PE lines. Eight strands of braided line made from twisted fibers are further braided using UVF processing, which condenses the fibers to enhance strength and abrasion resistance. The special silicone treatment with EvoSilicone2 contributes to improved abrasion resistance, smoothness, and durability.

The line is based on Battle Deep Green, a color considered less likely to make fish wary, with orange markings every 50 cm. These markings make it easier to check the line’s position and movement, while a 1 m light-blue marking is added every 50 m as a guide when respooling. The lineup ranges from 18 to 79 lb, with reference Japanese sizes of No. 1 to No. 6, and all models are supplied in 150 m spools. Sizes can be selected according to the tackle and fishing conditions, while taking into account the strength required for frog fishing and abrasion resistance around cover.
