Daiwa Bass-X

DAIWA’s BASS-X is a bass fishing line series designed to balance strength and ease of handling by tailoring the line characteristics to each size. The fluorocarbon “BASS-X FLUORO” features moderate stiffness in the lighter sizes, with an emphasis on knot strength and sensitivity. The heavier sizes are made softer to reduce memory and minimize line trouble, while also taking casting distance into consideration. Made from fluorocarbon with a specific gravity of 1.78, it is available in a natural color.

In addition to the standard 100 m spool, the “BASS-X FLUORO” lineup also includes the 240 m “25 BASS-X FLUORO.” The 25 model features a marking seal that makes it easy to check the amount of line remaining, along with a case that protects the line from damage. The nylon “BASS-X NYLON” is designed with added stiffness in the lighter sizes to improve sensitivity and make subtle bites easier to detect, while the heavier sizes prioritize suppleness to help reduce line memory and backlash. Anglers can select between fluorocarbon and nylon, as well as the appropriate line size, according to their application, reel, and desired lure-control feel.
