SMITH LTD.’s NAMANCHU is a glass-composite rod redesigned with an emphasis on daytime fishing, shifting from the conventional “load-focused” setup to a more “hook-setting-focused” configuration. The DNAZ-67M-2 is a two-piece baitcasting model designed for portability. While its basic performance is comparable to the DNAZ-66M, it features a slightly higher glass content and has been tuned toward a slightly more parabolic action to account for the characteristics of its two-piece construction.

Measuring 6 feet 7 inches, it has medium power and a moderate-fast action, and handles lures up to 7/8 oz. and lines up to 25 lb. The blank uses a glass composite construction, while the series as a whole features a higher carbon content for daytime fishing and has shifted toward a more hook-setting-oriented action. The baitcasting model is equipped with a titanium-frame SiC tip guide and stainless-steel-frame SiC guides throughout the remainder of the guide train. It features a Fuji TCS reel seat and high-grade AA cork grips. While maintaining compact storage for transport, this model is designed for easy handling from lure manipulation and hook-setting through the fight.
