Jackall Cut Ball

JACKALL’s CUTBALL (CUTBALL SQueeZE | CUTBALL SCYTHE) is a maneuverable jointed head developed to make it easier to produce the mid-strolling action achieved with the King Jimmy Henge. Based on a football-shaped design, its body features a cut front section, making it less likely to tip onto its side when it reaches the bottom and helping prevent it from wedging into gaps on the bottom. The cut surface catches water to create a moderate sense of resistance and control, while keeping the rig’s travel distance short. During a steady retrieve, it also helps prevent the rig from rising, making it easier to maintain the desired depth. The zinc construction readily catches water, while the hook eye is positioned above the center of the head to generate a pendulum motion, producing movement from side to side as well as up and down. The rigged worm responds three-dimensionally to the head’s movement, making it suitable not only for mid-strolling, but also for botost—working the bottom—and approaches that allow the rig to fall along a slope. Because the hook is connected to the head via a split ring, the worm does not bend sharply into a “く” shape as it does with a jighead wacky rig. Instead, the head’s movement is moderately absorbed, creating an action similar to a weightless wacky rig. CUTBALL SQueeZE is available in weights from 0.9 to 7 g with hook sizes 3, 1/0, and 3/0, while CUTBALL SCYTHE is available in weights from 3.5 to 14 g with hook sizes 1/0, 3/0, and 5/0, allowing you to choose according to the size of the worm being used and the desired depth.
