Jackall TRAP Micro

JACKALL’s TRAP micro is a worm hook designed for micro hover-strolling, helping to prevent the worm from slipping while bringing out its natural action and making it easier for fish to inhale. The crank shank extending from the base of the eye holds the worm securely, reducing forward/backward and vertical slippage during use. By inserting the crank section slightly deeper into the worm, it helps minimize damage and allows the worm to be re-rigged. In addition, the shank section housed inside the worm is shorter than that of typical hover-strolling hooks, providing a wider range of movement. With less restriction from the hook, it allows a setup that makes the most of the worm’s action.

The hook features a curved point designed to catch and hold as it contacts the fish’s skin, helping prevent the fish from spitting the hook after a bite and promoting a smooth transition to the hook-setting motion. The balance of the hook’s shape and wire diameter is achieved with Pro Spec Metal, a fishing-hook-specific blend material that is hard, resistant to breakage, and resistant to deformation. Its surface is finished with a low-friction PTFE Armor coating. Available in sizes 6, 8, and 10, it can be selected according to the strength of the fish’s take and the worm being used. By embedding the crank shank deeply into the worm and exposing the hook point at the proper position, it combines secure rigging with a wide range of movement.
