Jackall Scythe

JACKALL’s SCYTHE is designed to combine easy rigging with an offset hook and excellent worm-holding power, while providing deep penetration that minimizes the loss of force during hooksets. Its shape aligns the straight puncture hole created when inserting the hook into the worm with the straight section inside the bend. This helps prevent the bend curve from compressing the worm and causing it to slip, reducing stress on the worm. In addition, the hook point’s approach angle is set as small as possible without allowing the point to penetrate into the worm, achieving deep penetration that makes it easier to transfer hook-setting power.

The width is set according to the expected worm thickness for each size, allowing you to choose between the SCYTHE and SCYTHE TYPE NARROW to match the worm’s profile. Within the same size, the wire diameter remains the same while the gap width is changed, allowing you to fine-tune the setup while maintaining the power balance of your tackle. The hook is made from “PRO SPEC METAL,” a dedicated blend for fishing hooks, designed with hardness, resistance to breakage, and resistance to deformation in mind. Its surface is treated with a low-friction PTFE Armor finish. By aligning the worm’s puncture hole with the straight section inside the bend when rigging, this worm hook helps maintain a close, integrated connection with the worm.
