JACKALL’s STLAZER is a straight-shank worm hook designed for cover fishing, where anglers repeatedly target complex structure at a fast pace while minimizing worm slippage and achieving consistent hook penetration. Its up-eye, inside keeper, and barb are designed to hold the worm near its center, reducing rotation and slippage after rigging. By positioning the eye close to the worm’s centerline, the up-eye helps minimize rotation and allows the rig to sit neatly when used with a Texas rig, leaderless drop shot, or heavy drop shot.
The hook point is designed to drive in at a sharp angle from the point where it contacts the worm’s skin, while maintaining penetration performance. In addition to the inside keeper, which helps provide secure holding power regardless of worm thickness, the hook is designed with snag resistance in mind by embedding the point inside the worm. To rig it, insert the hook near the center of the worm and bring it out through the belly side. Rotate the hook until the inside keeper is positioned inside the worm, then finally return the hook point into the worm’s body. The hook is made from PRO SPEC METAL, a hard, bend-resistant, and distortion-resistant blend formulated for fishing hooks, and features a low-friction PTFE Armor finish. Available sizes are 2, 1, 1/0, 2/0, 3/0, 4/0, and 5/0, allowing you to select the appropriate size for the worm being used.
