JACKALL’s CHIBITAREL is a bluegill-style jointed swimbait that inherits the basic performance of the GANTAREL while being downsized to suit smaller fisheries in various regions. Its compact body improves ease of handling, and using it alongside the original size makes it easier to choose a lure that matches the size of the baitfish present in the fishery. It has a floating configuration, measuring 130 mm in length and weighing 43.5 g.
The pectoral fins on the sides of the body improve swimming stability, help prevent the lure from rolling over during jerks, and also function like a lip to achieve a maximum diving depth of approximately 70 cm. Its jointed construction produces a fine S-shaped action for smooth swimming and also allows for cranking. On a basic steady retrieve, it displays a relaxed slaloming action, while rod work can produce 180-degree turnarounds. Mixing in twitches adds variation to the action and helps trigger strikes. The line eye is equipped with a ball-bearing swivel to reduce line twist caused by rotation during casting. The hook eyes also feature swivels to help reduce the chance of fish coming unbuttoned during the fight. The eye at the tip of the tail can be fitted with a feather, assist hook, or other accessories, allowing for customized rigging. The standard hooks are ST46TN #2 on the front and ST46TN #3 on the rear.
