Jackall Chubby Pencil

JACKALL’s Chubby Pencil 55 AREA is a pencil bait designed for area bass, with a compact body that delivers lively surface action. Its semi-flat body pushes a strong amount of water despite its small size, producing a wide dog-walking action. A glass rattle is built into the body, attracting fish not only with its movement but also with its rattle sound. Thanks to its highly responsive design, the lure moves nimbly and is easy to control with rod movements.

To make it easier to hook shallow bites, the hook points feature a gently curved point and a modest approach angle. In addition, the points are angled inward to reduce unnecessary contact with rocks and structure while helping prevent point wear. Measuring 55 mm and weighing 3.1 g, this floating lure is equipped with barbless Troutin Treble BL #12 hooks tested in area bass ponds. It is designed primarily for surface dog-walking and can be used with a barbless setup for area bass.
