Jackall Scissor Comb

JACKALL’s Scissor Comb is a soft bait created by Tsutomu Kawashima, combining a slim split-tail profile with uniquely designed scissor arms. The four pairs of arms are mounted in reverse orientation relative to the body, with each pair differing in length and thickness. As they catch the current, they produce subtle vibrations. These vibrations travel through the tapered, bottle-neck-shaped body, generating a side-to-side rolling action throughout the worm during the fall or when dragged along the bottom. In addition, the two long tails at the rear add vibration and a kicking action, creating a complex, highly attractive presentation in combination with the body’s movement.

The Scissor Comb can be used with a steady retrieve, on the fall, or dragged along the bottom after casting. When paired with a lightweight jig head, it can also be fished with a slow retrieve. When using an offset hook, the manufacturer recommends size #4 or #3 for the 2.5-inch model, #3 or #2 for the 3-inch model, #1 or #1/0 for the 3.8-inch model, #2/0 or #3/0 for the 4.8-inch model, and #3/0 or #4/0 for the 6-inch model. As the size increases, the presence of the body and tails, as well as the compatible hook size, changes, allowing you to choose the appropriate model according to the rig being used, the target depth, and the desired level of attraction.
