Jackall Soul Shad

JACKALL’s SOUL SHAD is a shad plug that maintains a stable swimming action from slow to fast retrieves, allowing anglers to target different depths by selecting the appropriate size and diving range. It features a magnetic moving weight system: during the cast, the weight shifts toward the tail, then returns to the area near the front eye and locks into place magnetically as the retrieve begins. Its low center of gravity enables a quick-starting action and provides manageable resistance as it grips the water without pulling too aggressively.

The 45SP measures 45 mm and weighs 2.7 g, with a diving depth of approximately 1.0 m. This compact model is designed for situations when fish are selectively feeding on small baitfish or under high fishing pressure. The 52SP measures 52 mm, weighs 4.0 g, and swims to approximately 1.2 m. Its finesse specification places it between the 45 mm and 58 mm models in size. The 58SR-SP dives to approximately 1.0 m, the 58SP to approximately 1.5 m, the 62DR-SP to approximately 2.0 m, and the 62DDR-SP to approximately 2.5 m. The deep-diving models can quickly reach the desired depth and can also be used for dragging to search deeper layers. At 68 mm and 9.0 g, the 68SP is the largest model in the series and is compatible with baitcasting tackle while retaining the series’ casting performance and stable action.

All models come standard with Gamakatsu RB-M hooks. They can be used with a basic steady retrieve and are well suited to checking each model’s diving range while varying the retrieve speed. Add twitches or jerks as needed, and choose the appropriate size, diving depth, and compatibility with baitcasting tackle according to the conditions.
