JACKALL’s Ammonite Shad was developed to appeal to bass with a highly visible swimming action that combines a voluminous profile with one of the strongest actions available among shad-tail soft baits. The tail displaces a large amount of water, powerfully rocking the body and producing a distinct action even on a steady retrieve. A rattle hole is built into the area around the center of the body, allowing you to insert a rattler and add an acoustic appeal to the body’s vibration.

It can be used for shallow-water swimming with a weightless or weighted hook, as a swim jig trailer, and with Texas rigs and jig heads. By adjusting the retrieve speed and rig combination, you can control the swimming depth and effectively search a wide range from the surface to the midwater and near the bottom. The lineup includes 3-inch, 4.5-inch, and 5.5-inch sizes. The manufacturer recommends offset hooks in sizes #1 to #1/0 for the 3-inch model, #2/0 to #3/0 for the 4.5-inch model, and #4/0 to #5/0 for the 5.5-inch model. Since the profile, volume, and compatible hook sizes vary by model, you can choose the appropriate size according to the size of the bait and the rig being used.
