Jackall i-shad

JACKALL’s i Shad is a straight-bodied soft bait developed for clear-water conditions with abundant baitfish, when fish are less responsive to lures. Designed to produce subtle, natural vibrations, it is suited to “I-shaped retrieves,” swimming from the surface to just below it with minimal unnecessary movement. Although its appearance is simple, it makes it easy to create a delicate presentation.

Its two-layer construction places salt-infused material only in the lower part of the body, lowering the center of gravity and stabilizing its posture while swimming. It is also infused with an amino-acid-based formula favored by fish, providing additional appeal through taste and scent. The basic technique is to fish it weightless, retrieving it at a steady speed from the surface to just below the surface. It is important to thread the hook straight through the body so it does not bend or veer from side to side when rigged. Checking the action beside your feet before casting can help prevent an unstable posture. In addition to weightless I-shaped retrieves, it can be used for swimming on a jighead rig and with a heavy Carolina rig. The manufacturer recommends an offset hook size #3 for the 2.8-inch model and a #1 to #1/0 offset hook for the 3.8-inch model, allowing you to select the hook setup according to the bait size.
